Behavioral Health Therapist

Position Summary
The position supports the Community & Family Services Director by the provision of behavioral health services, including individual and group therapies, to Chugach Region clients, and to serve as consultant for program services to Chugachmiut staff, councils and communities in areas pertaining to behavioral health services and service delivery. This position is in the Behavioral Health Department within the Health Services Division and under the supervision of the Behavioral Health Clinical Manager. Travel via small aircraft to provide services to Chugachmiut communities.
Qualifications
BS in Psychology or related field, with five years experience in the provision of behavioral health/therapeutic services, Master’s Degree preferred. Experience in working with substance abuse, mental health problems, family dysfunction, and other social problems. State or professional license in a field related to the delivery of therapeutic services. Board Certified Registered Art Therapist, credentials preferred.

Chugachmiut offers a smoke, drug, and alcohol free work environment. Work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour for lunch, to include a 30 hour work week.
