Community Health Representative (CHR)

Positon Summary
Acts as liaison between the CHR Program and community residents, providing and coordinating care for Elders (55 years of age and older), coordinating community activities with the assistance of the village council or its representative, and providing outreach and assistance to individuals and families in the community. This position will be under the guidance of Chugachmiut and will receive additional training, job development and general support from the Chugachmiut Community and Social Services Division.
Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent.
- Knowledge of and ability to work well with local community and elder population.
- Represent the Village Council and Chugachmiut to the public as requested.

Hours of work are between Monday and Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with one hour for lunch. This position works a 30 hour workweek. Chugachmiut maintains a drug free and non-smoking environment. Travel by small aircraft to remote locations may be required.
