Position Summary
Meet with community school teachers and administrators to identify students who are at-risk of failure and provide one to one and small group tutoring and home visits to ensure academic success. Support the development of improved community involvement in the school. Maintain records of all tutoring sessions and home visits and attend all training sessions.
Must be at least nineteen (19) years of age; have a high school diploma or GED; have clean TB screening and physical examination, and criminal background check, and must be willing to participate in annual child abuse and neglect and blood born pathogens training sessions. Previous experience in education or social services setting is preferred.

This position is community based position according to program need. The position is 5 days a week – 4 to 6 hours a day. Hours of work are dependent on schedule selected by parents for classroom and home visits. This is a 9-10 month annual position with program continuation based on funding availability. Chugachmiut maintains a non-smoking environment. Position may require occasional travel to other communities throughout the region and employees must be able to travel in small aircraft.
