Itinerant Medical Assistant

Position Summary
This position is located at the North Star Health Clinic (NSHC) in Seward. The purpose of this position is to provide patient screening and support services for the Providers of the NSHC. The NSHC provides acute, chronic, preventive, and minor emergency medical services to Seward Native beneficiaries/ their families and to students at the Alaska Vocational and Technical Center (AVTEC).
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant or CHA/P, or successful completion of a Medical Assistant or other appropriate health training program
- Ability to work as an effective member of the health care team
Work Conditions

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with one hour for lunch. Work is usually performed in a clinic setting where exposure to infections and contagious diseases may occur.
