Positon Summary
Responsible for providing Sugt’stun classes in the Chugach Region schools and Head Start Programs helping all students to develop the ability to understand and speak Sugt’stun. Willingness to travel to meetings throughout the year is required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Mastery of Sugt’stun at the level of a semi-fluent speaker is required
- Preference will be given to a person with knowledge of the community and an understanding of the language
Work Conditions

Hours of work will vary, but between Monday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour for lunch is generally expected. Chugachmiut maintains a drug/alcohol free and non-smoking environment. There will be occasional travel, must be willing and able to travel in light aircraft.
