This position is responsible for janitorial services at Chugachmiut Health Clinics. The Building Custodian will keep the Offices, Health Clinic, and other areas of the “Building/Clinic” well maintained, clean and orderly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for a Building Custodian are maintaining the building cleanliness daily, weekly and as needed, among other duties. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and extreme heat or cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and risk of electrical shock.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of progressively responsible janitorial experience in a commercial setting
- Greets both internal and external customer with eye contact and a smile
- Solicits and responds to feedback for customer satisfaction
- Attendance is regular and on time without excessive absences
- Presents self and Chugachmiut by displaying professional behavior and appearance
- Practices and promotes effective collaboration to accomplish the goals of the team
- Supports the Mission and values of Chugachmiut; creates solutions that add value to the operations of Chugachmiut

Hours of work are between Monday to Friday up to 15 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and not to exceed 780 hours per year. Chugachmiut maintains a drug/alcohol free and non-smoking environment. Travel by small aircraft to remote locations may be required.
