The Health Administrative Assistant requires a punctual, dependable individual who shall maintain strict client and program confidentiality along with knowledge of office practices and procedures. As a person of contact with the clinic, this individual must possess a professional attitude, including a pleasant personality, professional appearance, and grooming which conforms to general business standards. Under the direction of the Regional Office Manager, primary responsibilities include administrative support tasks and maintenance of patient and administrative records.
Essential duties include answering multi-line telephone, screen and route calls, provide general information about services available, greet patients and customers, maintain strict client and program confidentiality, schedule patient appointments, coordinate follow up with patient referrals, retrieve and maintain medical records, data entry, assist in preparing ingoing and outgoing mail, operate and maintain office equipment, and other administrative duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience in general office practices, medical office experience preferred
- Basic computer skills required
- Greets both internal and external customer with eye contact and a smile.
- Solicits and responds to feedback for customer satisfaction.
- Attendance is regular and on time without excessive absences.
- Presents self and Chugachmiut by displaying professional behavior and appearance.
- Practices and promotes effective collaboration to accomplish the goals of the team.
- Supports the Mission and values of Chugachmiut; creates solutions that add value to the operations of Chugachmiut.

Hours of work are on an on-call as needed basis between Monday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour for lunch. Chugachmiut maintains a drug/alcohol free and non-smoking environment. Travel by small aircraft to remote locations may be required.
