HIP is a grant program administered by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) to help American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) individuals and families who lack access to safe\, standard housing. \nHIP provides: \n\nHome repair\, renovation\, or replacement for modest homes\nDown payment assistance for purchasing a new home\n\nThe program is designed to serve those with the greatest need. Priority is given to: \n\nElders and individuals with disabilities\nLow-income families with dependent children\nVeterans\nThose living in unsafe\, overcrowded\, or substandard housing\n\nApplicants’ income must not exceed 150% of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Poverty Guidelines.  \nApplication Deadline: November 4\, 2025.
