RFP: Principal Investigator & Project Lead for Education Grants - August 26, 2026
Chugachmiut’s Tribal Education Department (CTED) is seeking proposals from experienced education professionals, researchers, consultants, or firms to serve as Principal Investigator and Project Lead for three federally funded education projects.
The selected individual or firm will provide senior intellectual, programmatic, research, evaluation, and project leadership for initiatives focused on Indigenous education, Indigenous pedagogy, Sugt’stun language revitalization, social-emotional and trauma-informed learning, and Indigenous youth community and career development.
The Principal Investigator/Project Lead will work closely with CTED leadership, staff, Tribal partners, school districts, educators, community members, contractors, and federal grant partners. Responsibilities will include federal grant and project leadership, educator development, curriculum and learning design, research and evaluation, academic dissemination, and Tribal education policy and systems development.
Chugachmiut is seeking applicants with substantial experience in education, educational research, curriculum or related fields, including demonstrated experience leading complex federally funded education projects. Knowledge of Indigenous pedagogy, curriculum and instructional design, mixed-methods research and evaluation, and Indigenous data sovereignty and Tribal research governance is also required.
Preference may be given to applicants with experience working directly with Alaska Native Tribes or communities, Tribal education initiatives, Indigenous language education, and U.S. Department of Education grants.
