Purchased/Referred Care (PRC) may help cover certain medical services and travel costs when you are referred for care.
Depending on eligibility and authorization requirements, benefits may include travel assistance and gas reimbursement for qualifying specialty care referrals, up to $3,000 in audiology/hearing aid benefits every other year, and up to $600 per year toward eyeglasses and/or an eye exam.
Most PRC services require prior authorization unless the care is an emergency. Please contact the PRC office before or after your appointment to confirm eligibility and reimbursement requirements.
If you receive a medical bill, bring or mail it to the PRC office as soon as possible. PRC staff can review the charges, determine whether they are covered, and work with the provider or billing office when appropriate. Promptly submitting bills may help prevent collection or payment delays.
