Join us for an Open Archive workshop #2 – Copper River Delta to Cape Martin hosted by the Native Village of Eyak on Tuesday, July 1, from 10 am to noon on Zoom or at Chugachmiut’s office located at 1840 Bragaw Street, Suite 110 in Anchorage.

The Native Village of Eyak’s Cultural Department is leading community-driven research on the “Chugach Collection” of ancestral belongings housed at the Ethnological Museum of Berlin. These virtual Open Archive sessions are open to Tribal Members from the region. Knowledge holders can help identify items and share stories — or you’re welcome to listen and learn.

In this upcoming session, we’ll review and discuss artifacts “collected” from Eyak, Alaganik, and Cape Martin in 1883.
