Serving the Native Communities of the Chugach Region
Chugachmiut’s Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation (TVR) program helps eligible Alaska Native and American Indian individuals with disabilities work toward meaningful employment and training goals. TVR supports people with disabilities who face employment barriers by providing guidance throughout the process, from referral and intake through planning, services, and job placement.
Support may include career exploration, skill-building, assistance with applications and resumes, training or education planning, and resources for employment or self-employment goals. TVR also partners with communities to share information, gather input, and strengthen opportunities through outreach, advisory involvement, and ongoing engagement.

Our vision is to revitalize the traditional Chugach Native culture and language. The goal is to make Sugpiaq/ Eyak history and heritage a part of the regular school curriculum with support and direction from our Elders’ traditional ecological knowledge (TEK).
