Serving the Native Communities of the Chugach Region
The North Star Health Clinic has an onsite pharmacist available to fill prescriptions and provide information and education to patients. Medication boxes are provided to patients who have trouble keeping track of their medications, and the pharmacist will help patients in navigating the ANMC automated refill system.
The pharmacist also is a resource for providers and health aides regarding any medication questions and instructions on proper handling. Visits to village clinics are made yearly for site inspection and to meet with staff and patients. Often the pharmacist will fill prescriptions for community patients when ANMC is not able to do so.

Our vision is to revitalize the traditional Chugach Native culture and language. The goal is to make Sugpiaq/ Eyak history and heritage a part of the regular school curriculum with support and direction from our Elders’ traditional ecological knowledge (TEK).
